i just installed a spool in an s4c transmission and now it wont stay in reverse and the transmission get pretty hot when driving for a short time. i took it back appart and i dont see anything obvious. any sugustions?

 

i would have to say you may have the slider hub for 5/R fipped or the syncro's reversed up top the main shaft. take the case off and show me a GOOD quality picture.. also, there is a chance the slider is not in the correct position on the hub.

i can also fix your transmission for you, if need be.

 

would that cause it to get hot also when driving for about 15 min?

 

the collar on the main shaft is probably seized on. ive seen it numberous times.
