oil leak question
Ive been trying to fix an oil leak on my car for quite a few days now. Everytime i let the car run and warm up, it seems to leak out of the back of the block. I thought originally that it was an oil pan gasket and/or drain plug. THe plug was replaced and so was the gasket. It was torqued to spec and everything was good. I started the car up afterwards and checked under it again. Still dripping. Pretty steadily too. So i just so happened to replace the oil filter becuz on my other civic, (89 Si) the oil filter was leaking from the o-ring being bad. So after that i i started the car and still....it is leaking. I looked where the oil filter mounts up and noticed that it is a piece between the filter and the block that seems almost like a spacer type thing. i started the car and watched it and i could see the oil dripping from this thing before the oil filter, onto the block. What does the oil filter mount to? and is there supposed to be a gasket there? i noticed it was metal to metal......am i missing a gasket and could that be my problem. This is on a 95 GSR motor in a 95 hatchback. WHat should i do?

well, i can tell it isnt the filter. i already replaced it and the odds of having two bad filters are slim to none. I just need to know if that piece near the oil filter has a gasket or not becuase to me it looked metal to metal.
