Need a new clutch, suggestions?
Well since Acura is gay the warranty doesn't cover the clutch so I need to buy a new clutch soon since I can feel mine starting to wear down. I don't really feel like going with a stock clutch since theres no point when I can spend the same amount of money and get a better aftermarket one. I apologize is this topic has been covered before, I searched but couldn't really find anything. Anyway, I'm open for all suggestions. I'm looking for something that has a similar feeling as the stock one. THanks.

Yes they do but CC's stage 1 is no where near to stock engagement or feel and I think its a "6-pad"

I never went with stage 1 i went with stage 5. I thought i was going to have to do some leg presses with my left leg so i could get it ready for the clutch but when i actually felt it, it felt like a normal clutch but that sucker bit like ****.
Yeah TS asked for similar feeling as stock. IDK about on b-series but even the stage 4 doesnt feel like stock and takes some getting use to. Really depends on the person. First time on my twin disc I didnt stall but it definitely took time to get use to.

Check out Zoom Clutches...
They are purple (you may have heard of them)
They are pretty much the only clutch company that offers up to all four stages for every clutch they make.
They have a pretty good clamp load and a decent price too.
Also... There are a lot of companies out there that go with two different friction materials so that one side can bit and the other slip to make it more OE feel..
That is BS. if one side is biting, they both are. If one side is slipping, they both are. All that multifriction stuff is BS. The only reason that need multi friction is to maybe react with what each side is rubbing on better.

From my personal experience, they are great. NO problems. Don't be scared away because of what one or two people say.

From my experience i'm going to have to agree with Blueshark.. ACT is ****! Poor customer service and poor quality. My old roommate even had **** experience with them. Bought a clutch that was rated for 500hp + and the clutch didn't last but 1 launch and he had 450hp. The clutch melted to the pressure plate and this was on his B series. He tried to get ACT to replace it because it was supposed to be rated at a high hp but yet it didn't hold for 450hp. They basicly told him "Sorry, It was your fault and your SOL. Thanks.. go buy a new one".
