as of about 2 weeks ago my car started making a weird noise when coming out of vtec. it doesnt matter what rpm if i let off the gas enough about .5s after i do a hear a whip like snap and a small burst of air. could this be a failing solenoid or possibly something else?


no screen on the solenoid since ive had the car(idk if it matters?)

 

have you ever heard a car backfire before?

 

its not backfire its not that sort of pop its like when vtec engages on a cold night not the thud pop of a backfire

So when the revs drop, you hear a sound like air escaping?

Is the vacuum lining and stuff for your butterflies all sealed up? The canister have any holes in it?

 

car has a Eldelbrock intake mani on it...there for no buttlerflys and sound just recently started..

 

bump again
