I have a 97 ek with b18c1 head and b20b block (ls vtec) throttle cable that is on the head now is for an integ LS, cable has to mount so is ziptied to fuel line. i was told i needed a GSR cable and mounting bracket for my stock p72 intake manifold. contacted Acura dealer and LS and GSR cable are the same length...people keep telling me that the LS cable is too long and i need GSR but they are same!!

Turns out i do not need a new cable based on what the dealer reccomends...BUT i also have low idle problem...very low about 100rpm after 30 seconds of continuous revving in neutral. if i start it then let off gas it will die immediately i gotta get it up to operating temp for some reason...was told the IACV valve could be clogged but i would appreciate some help im not sure what to do when it comes to idle speed. Especially since i was told i cant just adjust it from the spindle where the cable goes.

yeah clean your iacv and see if that fixes it...and if not try to turn the throttle screw on the tb and get it to idle higher. and get a new throttle cable just to be sure. yours could be messed up or something. good luck man.

 

u need the 94 and up integra gsr throttle bracket and throttle cable because it is shorter than LS. u can use brake cleaner to clean iacv.

You might want to reset your idle using the idle screw located the throttle body.

 

wow thanx for quick feedback....question...where is the iacv haha sorry nto used to the b-series i have a 90 ef d15 so im new to the swapping. also the acura dealer told me the gsr cable is about an inch longer than the ls cable...but see there isnt anything "wrong" with the cable accept that i was told it was too long by the previous owner that did the lsvtec swap, he told me i needed the bracket also but with the other problems i just remembered it so now im seeking help...but yea i need to know where the iacv is and the process please of how to clean.
