What to remove in a G3 Integra to get it down to 2,300 LBS?
Please list all the things I can remove to get it down to 2,300 LBS. I noticed that C speed got their Integra down to 2,300 LBS and the interior looks like its pretty much all intact??
And also what I can get to lighten up the car. Such as racing seats, etc?\
Thanks.

I dont know what my car weighs. I have a 93ls (gen2) with no interior paneling, no spare tire, no jack, no sound deadening, no firewall, gsr wheels, gonna have sparco front seats, no back seat, no rear seatbelts, no carpet, no rear speakers, no power steering, no rear wiper assembly, no headliner, etc. I'll let you know what mine weighs whenever I get to the track and get to drive it on the scale. I think I still weigh in at about 2400-2500. Maybe even more. Who knows.

O and I have JDM 1 piece headlights which weigh a lot less then stock USDM (Plastic housing vs. metal) and plan on gettin some rota slipstreams and a CF hood for weight reduction too in addition to the sparco seats.
I don't know what C-Speed did...
but the easiest way is to remove all accessories like A/C, ABS, etc....and then start cutting into the non-essential body metal. Replace it with fibreglass or something.

evrtything you don't need just take out, ac, carpet seats, spare tire, jack, power steering, door panels rear panels, etc etc,

all of the accessories, power everything, abs, airbags, bumper supports, swaybars, swap over civic small brakes, remove radio and antenna motor, replace moonroof and motor with just a fibergalss or aluminum insert. install a momo steering wheel and hub, remove all carpeting/mats/sound-deadening-tar.
lightweight header and catback, use a testpipe.
super light wheels (13" vx if you use vx brakes)
racing seats will also help ... my sparco ultras weight half of stock, bolt them to the floor to save weight of sliders/brackets.
remove all but the necessary seatbelts.
remove spare tire, jack and all misc parts.
hmm, also go on a diet.

Just figured it would be a good idea to start a thread listing items for weight reduction. People constantly email me asking how I got my Integra down to 2320 lbs., plus I figure this would be good for future search reference, etc.
If anyone has anything to add, feel free...
Here's your answers Jay...
*front bumper support
*rear bumper support
*ABS system
*switched PS rack to manual Civic CX unit
*ditch OE manifold and cat for a 4-1 w/ test pipe
*remove sound deadening(GSR/LS only)
*remove rear wiper and motor
*shave antenna and remove antenna motor
*driver and pass. air bags
*SRS harnesses and SRS control module
*apexi' WS suspension (total 12lbs. lighter than stock altogether)
*aluminum flywheel(much lighter than stock)
*remove passenger side dash brace(thick *** bar behin dash)
*lightweight rotors
*leightweight wheels
*AEM (lighter than OE intake system)
*remove strut tower bar and rear upper and lower body braces, also considering sway bars.. but this was DRASTICALLY hurt the car's handling and performance
*switch out power door lock actuators for Integra RS units
*spare tire and jack(DUH)
*evap and emissions system and canister (not applicable to all. there is no emissions or inspection here, so I do it.)
*brake dust shields
*exhaust tunnel heat shield
that's about all i can think of right now. you can also pull the radio, heater, A/C, etc.. but that's all creature comforts.

I weigh in at around 2,450 and I started out with a stock 2,628 pound GS. I have i/h/e (all lighter than stock), removed rear tow hooks, removed floor mats, removed EVERYTHING behind the front seats. I also might take out the AC and get some Corbeau Forza racing seats which are really light.
