New Turbo setup for the H22 Prelude
doing some late night welding getting my car ready for the new turbo and manifold..
here are some teaser pics of the downpipe im making for my new setup.. i will post the turbo install as parts come in the mail Cody at lovefab is making me a manifold for the h22 with the Tial Vband housing
compliments or criticism is welcome, im not a professional welder, just enought to make my stuff for my car, so any advice to improve my welding is more then welcome!

not enough post flow on the welds and you may want to turn donw the heat a tiny bit.
looks good though. better welding then a lot of "professional" welders.
whats with the bungs? are they o2, evac or injector bungs?

Too hot and too cold in a couple places. Not enough post flow. Dipped the tungsten in one place too. But it looks good for someone who dabbles in welding. All you need is more practice and you'll get it. What size gas lense are you using and what is your gas flow set at?

the bungs are o2 bungs one is for my dedicated wideband, and the other one on other side is for my tuner when i get tuned.. otherwise it will be plugged.
the post flow is set on automatic (syncrowave 200) any suggestion on how long to set the postflow?

i think the gas flow is set between 20-25 cfm, i would have to recheck that
the gas lense im using is a pyrex glass cup from HTP weld, im not sure what size it is.. its not as big as a 10 ceremic but not small either

It doesn't look very uniform like a few things I've seen from some of the people on here...
But certainly very very good; I'd buy it

i always try to put two o2 bungs in downpipes too. good thinking.
i would put your flow meter at 20 cfh with a post flow of 6~8 seconds. you may waste a little bit, but better safe then sorry.
once you turn your heat down a little bit, you need less post flow. you want to keep post flow on a couple seconds after the metal has lost its cherry.
or you can pulse manual or with the machine. that will help a lot, especailly on exhaust tubing.

hey man long time no talk, how you been??
im getting a lovefab mini me eq from cody, hopefully he can have it overnighted to me tomm.. because im trying to finish my car up for a show next week.
the turbo im going to be using is a 35r .82 housing with the tial ss vband housing
im just shooting for upper 400's since i barely missed my goal with the last turbo
but this time ill have a better manifold my old one cracked which prompted me to buy a new one thats going to be more reliable
