oke i got a problem with my 91 mpfi converted dx 4dr it was working fine with no problems but all of a suddn i got a odd idel it went up and down from 800 to 1500 and it is starting to bother me also today i got a code 9 it may have somthing to do with it im not shur tho got to test also i replaced my pcv valve and that dident help but it needed one tho lol all gaskets where replaced except the egr valve gaskets and the fast idel selinoid was not in use i just dident wire it that stayed put and the throttle body gasket was replaced but the throttle body was removed 2 times but it still made a good seal just resently it started doing it when its cold it dosent go it once the car warms up it starts doing it but i noticed that only when its warm it dose that also got some oil leaks will that be a cause of it

 

so what are you saying you've done with your idle air control valve (iacv) exactly? its not a fast idle thermal valve btw. is it hooked up? try a diff one if you have another available, or clean out the one on there with brake cleaner.

If it does it after it warms up its your FITV I can say this 100% dont waste your time on anything else.

 

so do i need to replace it or clean the FITV
