LS Rods
personally im not sure ls rods will work in a d series but if stock ls rods work than i would be more inclined to say ls spec eagle rods will run with little or no modification.

LS rods work in D16's, not in D15's. And you have to Notch the block for them to clear the D16 anyways.

If yes, then youd need to bring your block, crank, bearings, and pistons/rods to a machine shop, they should be able to tell you how much it will be after looking at it.
It means they have to notch the inside of your block just below where the piston comes down as the rods are larger and would otherwise clip the block while spinning.

You can get a set of LS rods for like $20-40, Aftermarket D-series rods are typically 3-4 hundred, but they won't be much, if any stronger than a set of LS rods.
