clutch friction materials
alright... consider you're making roughly 300 ft lbs at the wheel, and you have a ~225mm clutch (not sure what size various hondas are). currently i'm running an ACT "street/strip" with their HD pressure plate and organic disc. this works well... i can slip it enough to get a smooth launch on my drag radials.. but it doesnt hold enough power (slips occasionally in 4th/5th). sooo i'm looking for something that will hold more power that i will still be able to slip off the line (no puck discs, clearly).
currently i'm looking at the spec stage 3+ disc... its a full faced disc with a "carbon metallic friction material". anyone have experience with this clutch or something similar? btw they list the torque capacity at a whopping 445ft lbs =o and i probably wont ever exceed 350... so it seems just about perfect.
