Partial motor mount fill with window weld?
I have been searching and found plenty of people who said filling their mounts with window weld worked great for stiffening their stock mounts but my question is would it work if i only partially filled them with the window weld or is there a reason why this would not work?
The reason being that i want to stiffen them up but not to the point where my car vibrates so much its annoying like many people say occurs when they do this method. so i thought maybe filling in half the mount instead of the whole thing might get that happy medium. Any feedback would be appreciated.
thanks
Also forgot to mention my setup has around 400whp and i found that all my oem mounts are torn in one place or another

I only filled the rear mount because it's a daily driver. The engine is visually a lot more rigid front to back, but I didn't notice any more vibration.

If you're running a 400 whp engine on stock mounts......lets just say thats not the greatest idea for you or your wallet. Although a 400whp engine setup would cause all sorts of vibrations, noise, and loosen panels in a car, so why would vibration really matter?
To answer your question, the window weld will more than likely break away from the motor mount once the oem rubber breaks/loosen up.
Your best bet would be to pick up a urethane thats softer than window weld and use that to completely fill your rear and torque mounts. Window weld dries at a hardness of 80 shore, so 65 or 70 would probably work in your favor. You can pick it up from mcmaster carr.
