Weird oil leak, compression loss (?), time to re-build? PICS inside
got out of school one day, and i saw my front bumper had a small river of oil off to one side. popped the hood, and saw the Valvecover flooded with oil, as if it came out of the oil cap. the underside of the hood had massive amounts of oil on it, and when i took off the oil cap, and removed the dip stick, you could feel little puffs of air... compression loss?
i was down about a quart of oil, so i added in another quart, along with a can of engine restore. now, i am over due an oil change, which i forgot about, but i dont think thats whats causing all this. the engine restore did stop the small puffs of air coming from the dip stick tube, and lowerd the ones coming from the oil cap opening...
oh, and yesterday i saw i was losing an *** load of oil from the head gasket... so ill be relpacing that soon.
any input, or suggestions?
oil (i cleaned up alot of it):

Thats a really weird trail. But if you cleaned it off then that could be why its so weird. Check your PCV box and your oil filter.

i just cleaned what was dripping, i didnt smudge it too much. the underhood part was like that, it just had dry chunks of oil. the valve cover was flooded, and the front bumper had small trails, which i did clean mostly all the way off.
my brother said the oil filter has something to do with it, im way over due an oil change (since i drive 70 miles a day M-F from school and back) and the last oil change i gave it was in december. ill see if i can give it an oil change since im on spring break now.
