Hey i have a 94 eg hatch, dx motor, i'm trying to get the alternator off but have a problem taking it off! i have tooken all the bolt off except one. The one holding the alternator, it's rusted on or something, i've tried wiggling it and pounding it, just pounding it, but the sucker isn't moving a inch? any suggestions would help a lot!


P.s i've sprayed a lot lubercaint

 

gets some oil lubrication at your local auto store or hardware store and let it sit and try using a breaker bar if that is necessary.

 

No access to an impact wrench? If so, impact swivel sockets are awesome.

 

no i have the nut out, i just can't get the whole bolt off? when i wiggle the alternator the bolt moves with it?

 

any suggestions? i've been trying everything!

 

As mentioned above, spray the bolt with penetrating oil. After a while, tap the bolt out with a small hammer and center punch.
