Default shift boot help

How can I keep the shift boot on my car up instead of being like 2 inches below the shift ****?

You can always fill it up with foam. Naw I'm kidding. Seriously tho if its anything like my civic you can twist off the shift **** and there's a nut that stops the shift **** from spinning. I would try putting a bigger nut there in circumference so the top of shift boot rests on it.
