Hey everyone, new this forum. This forum rocks. Anyways I just bought a ek hatch with a stock b18c motor with headers, intake, skunk 2 mani and I was thinking of buying cams. Preferbably Type r cams as my motor is bard and want to keep it legal. Can someone tell me which one would be better for my application? Performance wise. (integra type r cams or civic type r) Id also like to know the difference between the two. Just a little confused based on info friends gave. I was told to get the ctr cams versus itr cams because it gives you a smoother and more reliable power band. Thanks in advance

 

2000-2001 ITR cams = CTR

1997-1999 ITR cams : exhaust cams are identical, intake cam has 3 degrees more duration, intake max. lift is identical.

 

go for 2k1 itr cams

 

Hey where can I purchase them? Looking for new or used. Preferably used since its cheaper.

 

What kind of of gains will I experience with exhaust cam?

ITR cams are not cheap = 300-500+ used. I would not recomend changing anything internal unless you are willing to tune it properly.

 

Thanks for some of the info. I think Im pretty good at researching products just couldnt find anything. I looked at about 6 or seven different forums. Couple of websites. And really dont want to run skunk2 cams. Plan on buying ecu as well.
