Too hot, too cold, dipped tungsten, poor shielding, contamination. You could use those pictures to teach a class on how NOT to weld. Midship don't you TIG? Help the guy out, man.
[argon] Gas .. brake Dip dip [tungsten]
Bay areaaaaa .. this guy sucks @ welding
imo he needs to grind a fresh layer on that cast aluminum and get some better fitment up in that piece !

Jesus christ. WTF did they use to cut the injector hole, a dull spoon? I'd tell your friend to take his stuff and GTFO while there's still something left to try and salvage.
Looks like your mani got raped by a bunch of std, hiv infected doods.
Was this guy welding with his feet?

'' My friend '' so I don't know. I told him my self the welds aren't good.
He's doing a project just like my car Nissan with a Nissan VH45DE v8 turbo, except it's for a G35 .

Im gonna speak from some experience w/ extruded tubing. In most all cases they use a lubricant in the extrusion process which typically gets embedded into the material, if the surface isn't properly cleaned well it will weld like **** as pictured above. Have your buddy clean the material and remove any contaminants and give it another try.
