Default fuel pressure, spark, correct timing, but won't start.

I thought all you needed was fuel, air and spark.

what else can it be?

Car is 89 divic dx with built na b16a.

Car has been down for over a year now. Ran great before. Could it be bad gas?

Would it go bad in a year? It's the only thing I can think of.

I checked grounds. The harness ground that connects at the water neck is fine. The two engine to chassis grounds are fine. The fuel pump primes because I show 38psi at my rail. I can also hear it prime. I checked for spark on all four cylinders and it's sparking like crazy. Compression is 195, 185, 175, 170.
Motor still only has 200 miles on it or so though. Hopefully rings aren't seated all the way yet.

Timing is dead on. The rotor in the dizzy is turning just fine. I tried some starting fluid and still nothing. I'm stumped.
I'm going to try switching ECU's with my gsr and see if that does anything.

I know this subject sucks, but I've searched my *** off and haven't found much that helped. It's got to be something dumb, that's what's pissing m e off.

what does it do? crank and start then die or no start at all or what? are u sure timing belt isnt off a tooth ? how about dist timing? spark plug wires in the right order? cap and rotor good? injectors bad? resistor box bad? wiring done right?? i know the 2 white wires on the dizzy if switched will cause no start , check that

Thanks for the reply. It was actually me being very very dumb.... like always. More like careless. I grinded a little bit around where the mounting holes are on the external coil to get the nut driver to fit. Doing that make a thin spot on the insulating plastic around the coils output. It was arching to the mounting screw instead of going through the coil wire.

Funny thing is that when I pulled all the spark plug wires, they would spark. I tapped a piece of steel I had laying around for all the spark plugs and grounded it to the motor. I turned the car over with all the plugs in the steel and noticed the spark was really erratic. That's when I discovered the coil. Ha, I'm an idiot. No wonder people don't respond to these types of posts. It's always something basic.
