2 Part Problem: Hood & Rear Washer, 1990 Civic Si Hatch
So I have this little 1990 Civic Si Hatchback, and about a month ago, the rear washer stopped spraying. The wiper still goes, and both front sprayers still spray (it's not a lack of washer fluid problem), but the back one does nothing. The line under the hood has been checked, and appears to be intact and fully pressurized, so I suspect it might just be the sprayer nozzle that is totally clogged. But since I'm not sure where the pump for the rear washer is, I'm not sure if that could be the problem instead. And with the little "spoiler" or whatever you wanna call it on the back, I don't have the ability to get up to the nozzle to try to just clean it out, so I can't confirm if that's it. Anyone have any guesses? Is this something I might be able to fix myself (with help!) or am I better off to take it to my mechanic? (He's a Honda Certified Mechanic) Any guesstimates on how costly this might be?
In trying to diagnose what was wrong with my rear washer, the passenger side hinge on my hood broke. The guy who was helping me said it looked like a 2-sided flat pin that could just be replaced, but I thought I'd ask you guys if that's the case and how much $$ this will be?
Obviously if price was no option, I'd do both, but if I can't afford both right now, I'm going to get the hood fixed!
Thanks in advance!!
Melissa

the rear washer pump is mounted under the washer fluid reservoir. just listen for it, you should be able to hear it. if its not working check the voltage going to the pump and check fuses.
and check here for the hood hinge, at least you can check out the diagrams (you could also look at the washer system for reference) https://estore.honda.com/asp/l...=1000
this site is cheaper but harder to navigate http://www.magauto.com/default...d=389
You could probably use a small guitar string to clean the nozzle if its clogged, just dont snap it off.
