Default Block ?

I have my head off my block and im waitin for the machine shop to call so I can pick it up, well from sittin about a week my cylinders have a lil surface rust. What can I do for cleaning the cylinders and what can I use to clean the carbon off the top of the piston?

i would use wd40 for the rust and use a scraper or brush for the carbon buildup...if the head will be at the machine shop for awhile i would suggest spray down the cylinder walls wit wd40 or rub some oil all over it so it wont rust

cool man thanx I wanted to make sure on the W-D in the cylinders, and I was told not to spray carb cleaner on the pistons.
