turbo'd b18c1 block has carbon (?) buildup?
The block is being sold, so the head was pulled off. When I'm looking at the pistons, they are all black, and caked up with what looks like carbon buidup. Its bad enough that the pistons are basically flat (stock p72 pistons). I can scrape it off easily enough.
Also, there's rust on the cylinder walls. Do they need honing, or something less involved?

Re: turbo'd b18c1 block has carbon (?) buildup? (Noob4life)
the motor ran too rich... just clean it up or leave it if the plan is to run it as is...
why would there be rust? did you wash the cyl walls from being to rich? because there should be oil on the walls... unless the block sat for a while... I would hone, replace rings, and bearings since it's open if it were my block...
