Air Conditioning sometimes work sometimes does not
It sounds like I had a simular problem. If the car ambient temp was cool the A/C worked great. If it was hot outside it did not. Appears to have been an bad ECM. The mechanic appears to believe that the EMC was used to provide a ground for the relays. So, he provided another ground. Got it back today but it is too soon to tell for certain. It is blowing colder than ever but was only 73 degrees today.
mechanic tried a fix but now the A/C cycles to frequently and even if the A/C pwr switch is not on the A/C runs????????
We will see what he says next...

I had the same problems you guys are discribing.NO leaks in system, cleaned condenser.nothing fixed it so I took out the climate contol unit and resoldered the connections for the ac button and the the connections comming into the ac control unit at the back plug.I saw little cracks in the solder so I filled them up.If you don't see any cracks do it anyway the cracks are microspic.

I have the exact same problem - 3 and 4 work, 1 and 2 do not. Black 98 Ex coupe too!
Ended up doing a little search - I think it's the blower motor resistor.
Now I know it's the blower motor resistor. Replaced it last night, 1 and 2 are back!
It sits behind the glove compartment. Do the following:
1. Push the sides of the glove compartment in to get past the stops. Do one side at a time. The glove compartment will lower and you will see it.
2. Unplug the wire - unscrew the two screws. Lift out the old blower motor resistor.
3. Put the new one back in being careful not to damage it. Reverse your steps and you are done!

I have similar problem with my 2005 Odyssey. AC stop working after parking in hot day but works in the morning when the engine still cold.
I cannot find the AC clutch relay for 2005 Odyssey. Checked on O'riley and Honda parts dealer they don't have it too. Any suggestion?

I change the high pressure swith and it was fine. let me know if you guys are still have this issue. This swith will do this as the temp outside go up.
I have 2009 Honda Accord and the AC cycles on an off too often in hot weather and at high rpm ( above 2000 rpm). This is especially true after the care sits in hot weather. It works fine if the car is in the garage overnight.
Has anyone found a solution?

i have the same problem. But its because my condensor fan is shot. So therefore whenever i stop for more than like 10 or 30 seconds (depending on how hot it is outside) the Compressor shuts off.
Sounds like the refrigerant may be under- or over-charged.
As a follow-up my 2009 Honda AC has be checked twice by a Honda Dealer and found to be properly charged. I have my doubts however. I am beginning to believe that there may have been a design change the 2009 Honda AC, and the compressor cycles on and off more ofter to meet the gas mileage requirements. The end result is that the car stays warm on hot days. Has anyone else had the same experience and was there a solution?
