Default Tough to get out of park 1997 CRV Automatic

Title states it all... could this be the brake light switch? Or is a shift cable?

Thanks

if you can get into gear, but just a bit hard to do, i would say its the cable, co'z i don't think you can get it into gear if brake switch is faulty...

The pivot where the cable attaches to the transmission is seized. You will need to replace the linkage at the transmission end of the cable.
