i am about to do the brake job next weekend, the car is 93 civic dx hatchback with stock oem brake and everything. i want to upgrade to oem spec brembo cross drilled and slot rotors and some nice brake pads. a few questions
what are the diameter of oem front brake rotors?
do i need to get new brake pad retrainers/clips?

i believe DX front rotors are 9.5~ish. if you're getting "oem spec" brembos then you shouldn't have to get new retainers/clips unless you just want to.

however, are you positive that the brembos are specifically for DX brakes and not EX? because EX brakes cannot fit on DX hubs and calipers.

 

going from blanks to cross drilled may only be considered an "upgrade" in the looks department. you will not see any performance gains from it.

you can use the money you saved for the cross drilled rotors and get some ex/si or integra front brakes and some cheap rotors.
