Default is this block trash?

hey guys, was test fitting my new engine today when i noticed that where the mount bolts to the block is cracked, and been stripped out, heli-coiled, and those have been stripped out. let me know what you guys think.

if it is a waste, and i need a new one, will all the stuff from it bolt to a b16? or another b series? cause i know gsr motors are hard to find..

it's not trash but will require larger tapped holes, the cracked side looks to be able to accept a bit of welding for tapping to a larger hole as well...your engine mount might require some larger clearance holes double check all of that...

i would never mess with a block that has any problems like this. ruins the intergrity of the block. just my opinion. i seen to many bad things happen with that particular mount

i believe it happened when the car was wrecked.. it was hit behind the pass. side axle, but im pretty sure the frame warped, and tore this mount apart... i wouldn't want to disrupt the integrity of it, either... not pushing the power that motor has in it..

wow that looks familiar!! This is from hitting a gaurd rail head on at about 25mph...

I was going to have it welded, but they told me I would have to strip the block completely down, cause when you weld aluminum it will get soo hot all the seals and plastic will melt.... So I said F it and got another bare B16 block for $50.

theres only 1.5 miles on this motor, this happened on the test run.. hit a patch of ice and that was the end...
