WHO: Street legal racers, spectators and media

WHAT: This weekend is the Auto Club Street Legal Drags.

WHERE: Auto Club Speedway, 9300 Cherry Avenue, Fontana. The quarter-mile Auto Club Dragway is located on the North side of the facility. INFORMATION: (909) 429-5060

TIME: Tickets go on sale 7:00 a.m. Tech inspection begins at 7:00 a.m. RACING begins at 9:00 am. Note: NO SHORTS,TANK TOPS, OR opened Shoes if you are racing!!

COST: Car & Driver =$20.00. Crew or Spectator =$10. Kids 12 and under are Free.

ATTENTION RACERS: We are now accepting credit card transactions at the gate. Note: Effective September 1, 2007 checks are no longer accepted.

naw i wont be there i have work. but they say they day will be a nice one! so it will be good for racing

yea it usually is... expect to get only 1 or 2 runs if your lucky... and thats for being there the whole day...

thats why i liked goin to palmdale when LACR was open... it was never packed on wednesdays...

 

Do you need proof of insurance and registration? Hence street legal?

DRAG EVENT WAS TIGHT!,.,JUST TOO HOTT AND TOO CROWDED! LOOKING FOWARD TO THE NEXT ONE

 

how did you do and how many runs did you get in? i believe i got 8 in all day. hopefully they go back to the stamp cards next event.

 

i did decent i think for my first time racing my car, i got 8 runs too!

ya man...i didn't want to attend that last one because i knew he was going to packed as [freak]...my buds were ones of the last to get in...imma roll out with a tent and a bbq this time

 

How early did you have to get there?

 

me and the homnie got there at 5am, they had a 300 car limit. Plus teching takes forever!. it was fun though

we were there at 4am. we left at 3. i got in 7 runs...best was a 14.009 on my sohc turbo with shitty *** street tires. im making 170whp/171tq. it was my first time racing with the turbo. my homie had 13 passes!! and that included taking breaks in the pit throughout the day.

 

Is the main gate to california speedway open at that time? Or can you wait inside the huge parking lot? I cant believe people go like 3-4 hours before the gates open.....thats nuts.
