Default 98 civic rear disc conversion help

I have a 95 integra rear disc set-up and want to swap it into my 98 civic hatch. What exactly do i need? I was reading a couple of other forums and they keep on confusing me. Like the proportion valve, some say the 96-00 proportioning valve is the same as the 00 si? And what should i use for this swap as in Master Cylinder, Brake Lines, Proportioning Valve, Brake Booster? Please help me, i want to do this a.s.a.p.

i put rear disk brakes from a integra on my 00 dx coupe...you need the whole rear setup minus the lower control arm... you will have to use your civic one cause the integra one is shorter i beleive. and you will need a 99-00 si ebrake cable... your stock one wont work... as far as brake lines and proportioning valve i used my stock valve with no braking issues at all for about 6 months and the brake lines just make sure you have the line that connects your brakes to your hard brake lines bolted to your body... anything i missed anyone? oh... and i used my stock brake booster and master cylinder... just get a alignment done afterwards!

For the proportion valve, you want the one from a four wheel disc setup since the pressure for a rear drum set up is 80 front, 20 rear. The four wheel disc pressure is 60 front, 40 rear.

Brake booster and master cylinder should be changed as well.

You could possibly skimp on parts without changing them, but you'd be defeating the purpose of the conversion.

you dont HAVE to have those parts for the conversion. if you just want disks in the back. if you are doing it to actually upgrade your stopping and such then yes you will want them

Can anyone elaborate a little more on the proper parts that are compatible for a 96-00 rear disc upgrade done for stopping power. Would the Si Master cyl bolt right up? I know that once i upgrade the master cylinder i'll need to upgrade my front brakes with some Integra spec to utilize the 15/16 master cyl correctly.
I know for 92-95's you can easily bolt up the 91 EX 4dr master cyl (15/16), but that isn't the same with 96-00's. But what parts are easily interchangeable for 96-00's for this upgrade. Sorry i kinda did too much research for my old car (95) and now i have a 97 and want to find out the right stuff before i start spending money

Anyone out there that has done rear disc conversion for funtion?

The 99-00 Si prop valve and the 96-00 dx prop valve are the SAME. The Brake booster is also the SAME.

The 99-00 Si MC will bolt up to the brake booster since the BB is the same!

For e-brake cables, the 99-00 Si cables are the perfect fit for any 96-00 Civic Coupe/Hatch/Sedan. I have done this swap in both an old Sedan I had and in my 98 hatch with no problems.

i did this swap on my 97 dx hatch i used the brake lines and e-brake cables that were on the integra and they worked fine for me (dunno if this is only for hatchies). i got the si mc but didn't put it on at first, the integra one will not work without bending the crap out of your brake lines. well without changing the master cylinder the brakes were still wwwwwaaaayyy better than the dx brakes the pedal just goes down a little lower than normal the mc fixes this.
