Will JDM ITR axle back bolt on to USDM ITR midpipe?
My girl friend bent her Stock ITR exhaust tip while parking her ITR
well.. here i have found a JDM ITR axle back (2 1/2)
will it bolt on to USDM mid Pipe (2 1/4)??
will i need a different gasket since the JDM one's is bigger?
if i reuse or go HONDA and buy a stock gasket will it leak??

The only difference between the JDM ITR exhaust and the USDM ITR exhaust is the length of the b pipe.
The size of the piping and length of the axle back is the same.

FYI, you can buy the muffler new from the dealer. If you have a hook up, they're under $200 for a brand new one. Used ones go for $150ish.

pm Len.....
at one time he had a few that damaged tips, but looked to be easily fixable......
iirc he was selling them for around $50.

edit: YES it is a direct bold on
yah my friend had a jdm one like the one you're talkin about that had the tab on the end of the pipe that holds the tip.
at first we thought it was for a 4 door but we went to password jdm and compared to another two door and 4 door axleback and it was definitely for a 2 door.
this led us to believe that the exhausts were different for the 96 spec itr and the 98 spec itr..as the jdm one we had "stuck out a tad more" than the usdm one my other friend had..on a 98-01 rear bumper. we believed the one with the "tab" is a 96 spec.
many itr owners accused him of having a cat that was too long, and all sorts of other things..even though he had a thread with pics and everything comparing the two. but we knew better.
the good news is that the jdm one and the usdm one are actually the same diameter as we measured everything. the bad news is that if you think the jdm one is bigger than the usdm one, you are incorrect.
