Default Need Help!!! Asap!!

Well heres the story. I was doing regular maintenance on my car today. Checked oil lvl, window wiper fluid, and spark plugs. When i discovered a major problem, when I pulled the spark plugs, I discovered that three out of the 4 plugs had oil on them. So I decided to investigate even further, I pulled the valve cover off, and checked the valve seals, and they were still good as i expected, because i just replaced them about a month ago. Theres no sign of oil leaking from the seals and down to the spark plugs. So my question is where could the oil be leaking from??? The car vibrates like crazy at idle, and is giving off alot of grayish/white smoke. What should i do?? Scared to drive the car. But its my daily so i need it to run. Any suggestion??? Thanks in advance for your info.

All i did was when i checked the plugs and there was oil. I removed the valve covers and check the seals. But there was no signs of oil leaking down to the plugs. The motor is a D15b7. And no i dont get any cels. Just alot of smoke and rough vibrations. The car wont run unless you give it gas!!!

Not sure about this one. I would run a compression test and take off the head to be sure.

bump for someone who knows more though.

I would definetly check compression. Right now it could be any number of things. When was the last time you had your timing belt replaced?

why would he just take off the head to check the headgasket?

first off, did the car start throwing out grayish/white smoke after or before you pulled the plugs. second, where was the oil? was it under the plug, the part that ignites the fuel or on top (over the threads) where it connects to the plugs.

also, are you sure that you tighten the valve cover in sequence and to torqued specs?

Its started smoking up after i pulled the plugs. It was on the threads and just barly starting to make it through to bottom towards the bend. And yes i put everything back together at the right specs. And I will be taking it to go get a compression test tomorrow. But what all can i learn from the test??? Need to find the problem and fix it asap!!!

back on track...when you say you replaced you valve seals....did YOU or did a shop? what seals were used?

the smoking would explain the possibility of something gone wrong with the valve seals. i find it doubtful that it's a bhg, since it seems that the seals might be the culprit if the exhaust/intake seals got mixed up or they were cheapies or whatever.

kind of what i expected. it's most likely your valve cover gasket. just because it looks good doesn't mean that it is. it started smoking because all the oil sitting on top and out side of the plugs seeped in the the cylinder. so once you started the engine there was oil inside the chamber, which eventually will burn out ant the car will run normal.

the compression test will determine if your ring and/or gasket is bad. i wouldn't loose sleep over it since the car was running fine before you did the tune up.
ga ahead and do the test so you can feel better.
