so my h23 has has a long life, its smoking oil is leaking and so on....so i ordered a new one.... my question is, while it is being replaced what are some other engine parts and/or pieces should i look to replace while i have my buddy doing this for me? water pump? timing belt? anything else? and thats for all the info over the years too guys

 

How many miles does the new H23 have?

 

im getting it from venus. 35k or less, but its just the long block.

definitly timing belt and water pump. that stuff is super easy before the engine is in. do the clutch as well. same story. do it while its already apart.

anything u want to upgrade, that might be ready to be replaced, like headers exhaust, etc. ur gonna already have all those bolts out so do it if its close to ready and u have the cash for new ones.
