Default Repainting my civic.

Yes, i did look at the "Paint/Body" thread but i would like to ask someone who has maybe had this experience on this forum instead.

Has anyone had any body/paint work on their car?
I have a 2in length wise by 4in width wise part on my car where someone threw an egg one night and it totally scratched my paint with this. When i took it to a nearby body shop that my parents use they told me they wouldnt touch the color because it was such a hard color to match (Inca Pearl). In the spring i am getting a new lip and also would like that painted to match the rest of the car.

How much can i expect from a HONDA dealership on a price?
I dont think that i can claim it on my insurance since it happened back in October and i noticed it on my birthday (January). Or can i?

I also forgot to add that i was rear ended in a parking lot in the beginning of Febuary..and that left spider cracks in my lip and a 1in crack in my bumper...

To say the least...i have a little bit of bad luck..and i just want to make the car look better before IA08, because its what im basing my summer off of this year..

Where is this paint scratch from the egg incident? I would say that you could probably buff out the scratch, and get the front lip and rear bumper painted.

Its a pretty deep scratch i tried to rub it out when i detailed my car on my birthday with some meguires stuff but it didnt work at all. Its above the driver side rear fender. Its like a splatter scratch so its a million little scratches.

I would see if some polish doesn't take it off.

Well i will take it into a detailing shop and see if they can do something with it. because i dont want to spend a fortune getting it painted if its just going to come off.
Thanks.

If it's egg, it's etched into the clear. Wet sanding it might help a little, but it won't go away completely.
