Default oil pump

i have a rebuilt engine with less then 30 miles on it and i think my oil pump is leaking cause i changed then oil pan gasket and put sealer on it so it wouldnt leak and i thought that would stop it but it didnt so my ? is does anyone know if you cant just buy like a rebuild kit for the oil pump or just front mian crank shaft seal?
or would somethign else cause this to leak like if the oil pump wasnt aligned right when the car was TDC? i have a d16z6 with a y8 head

Did you ...

1. Put the oil pan gasket on the right way?
2. Tighten the oil pan bolts to "hand tight"

Pics of the leak would help also.

And yes, you can get a front main seal all by itself. If your engine is rebuilt, who did the work? If it was a shop they should have suggested to replace the oil pump.

your engine is going to leak the first couple heat cycles.. Sounds dumb, but it's true. I say drive for a couple more miles and see if it doesn't seal up.

If the pan wasn't torque all around in sequence it could be warped or something. Anyways, I too put on a new oil pan gasket to help stop leaks and had to retorque the nuts/bolts three times until they stopped loosening. GL!
