Default Seafoam question. . . SEARCHED tons

Ok, I have like 2,000 miles on my full synthetic mobil 1 motor oil. But recently I had close encounters with a terrible dragon-god of crappy driving called LIMP-MODE. My encounters would sometimes be prolonged, causing my spark plugs to become terrible fouled up. I believe that if it was bad enough to foul up my 5 month old spark plugs ( to the point where you FEEL the difference), it must've fouled up EVERYTHING else Anyways, I want to seafoam my car, but avoid thinning my motor oil. So I wanna ask, can I just do some seafoam in the gas tank, some in thru the brake booster vacuum line, and the 2 spoonfulls of seafoam in each spark plug hole and NOT ruin my motor oil? I read somewhere that seafoam could seep around the pistons and thru the piston rings and ruin my oil, but I want to make sure by posting a proper thread. Thanks in advanced, ANY input is greatly appreciated!

You can run it through the brake boosted intake on the manifold.

Ill run a can through the gas tank when i fill it up about once a month. Im not a big fan of running it through the brake booster.
But why is your car in limp mode to begin with
Is it still in limp mode and your hopeing that running a can of seafoam is going fix it?

I've used Seafoam through the brake booster for several cars, including a civic with 120k miles and a Maxima with 150k miles without any damage. That seems to be the most common method, but I don't know if it will solve your problems with fouled plugs. The brake booster "fogging" method is usually for cleaning out carbon deposits in the intake tract.

Not really. Your suppose to run it through the brake booster when your car is at operating temps. that way when the seafoam enters the combustion chamber it is instantly evaporated and essentially "steam cleans" the combustion chambers. You can also use this method of "steam cleaning" with water.

No no of course not!! It was in limp mode, for bad TPS and such things I fixed already. No CELS no limping. Thing is I already looked at the plugs and they look TERRIBLE. And, I sprayed some carburetor cleaner thou the Intake manifold. . . and my car smoked like if it were a Jamaican EG2. And I tried it on a friends Eclipse, and it didn't smoke at all. So my assumption is that just as well as my plugs got owned, everything else around and in the combustion chamber got owned too. I mean, it makes perfect sense, since even the tip of my muffler looks like if I would've painted it. . Carbon-deposit-black. ( And also the gate to my garage, it has a huge black circle of limp-mode memories of when I would start her up in the garage while checking up on her)

Well, I'll do the brake booster vacuum line method, and the gas-tank method. Thanks!

BTW, my EG2 is only 80,000 miles young. ( no Swap, all original miles)

In that case, i would run some seafoam through the brake booster and then replace the plugs and do a oil change.
