How would H&R sport springs ride on an EF chassis?
Its a 91 SI. The H&R are 1.9" front and 1.8" rear and I plan on using stock shocks. The car has 123000 soft miles. Shocks feel ok to me. I also plan to add a suspension techniques rear sway bar.
The goal is to lower the vehicle to reduce fender gap and lower center of gravity for handling. I know adding Koni yellow or illuminas would be ideal but I dont want to spend too much money.

After 123000 miles, they're probably due for replacement anyway.
I would get new shocks. And since you're already buying springs, get shocks designed for both the drop and increase in rate. Slightly underdamped is one thing, stock for many cars in fact. Really underdamped on old worn out shocks is another.

I have these on my 90 hatch H&R street performance coilover. I think the springs might be the same.

The ride is good not to stiff but stiff enough for the corners and has pretty good response. I also have the 22mm ST sway bar on it also set at medium (the middle hole on the sway) and stock si front sway other than that every other suspension is stock. The coilover that I have maybe not what you want but I guess you can get the same performance or better with the right shock and H&R spring.
But back in the days on my 94 accord I had the h&r springs on tokico HP and they ride smooth but on turns I had crazy body roll but if driving from point a to point b or just cruising it is nice.

Do any of you know a shock that has some compromise?
I tried saving money and going with tokico blue on my GSR and they were a waste of money, sold them in a month.
Then I tried Koni yellow and they were much better but cost over $500.
Would be nice to find shocks that didn't cost an arm and a leg but still perform well.
