Default what happened?

I was over at the local Honda dealership and I noticed that there werent any new models of RSX at the Acura next door and I asked the guy at the parts counter at Honda if they discontinued the RSX in 2008 and he said he wasnt sure so I thought I would bring it up here figuring someone might know, is it true?

That's really unbelievable that he wouldn't know that. If that was our parts guy and that got around the shop, he might as well quit because he would never hear the end of it.

What ever happened to the new CRX that was supposely going to come out this year?

Or was it next year? I think I saw that out of a magazine somewhere. If I can remember clearly, it was blue, had the '05-'06 RSX headlights (if not, it sure looked quite similar to it), and the body shape of an Honda Insight.

Back on topic, I think the RSX will soon be replaced by a "2-door" TSX.

Isnt the new "2 door TSX" supposed to be supercharged?

I highly doubt it would ever be supercharged. Who knows? I may be wrong though.

In this website, it only talks about the typical sports sedan. :shrugs:

In 2009 or 2010 there supposed to be restyling the TSX and producing a type s version that would be faster than the DC5-s. As for the CRX, the concept they came up with three years ago turned into the amazing Euro Civic Type-R (at least the body did).

I would buy that based on looks alone, even if it was powered by four hamsters in a spinning wheel! No joke.

ah, forget it...

i'll just chop my rear hatch off a few inches,
then slope my roof/moon roof downward towards the tail! ...illiminating some "Headroom"!
and for good measure, i'll throw a SMALLER Square window in the back!
for less visibility!

BRILLIANT!!!!

nah, i guess i'll keep my awesome car stock! (Body Wise!)

That car is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy more appealing than an Ep3. And yes, the lower Rr window does make a hude difference. That's what totally avoids the "minivan" look. Headlights set it off just right, and the body lines look alot better. I guess it falls in the seam reasoning on how I find an Ek extremely appealing and find the Ep3 very unappealing.

Not only does it look better than an EP3, but if it was truly to be a CRX, then its going to be all around smaller and lighter!

Honestly it's not appealing because it just looks like an rsx chopped in half. I'd rather own a crx with it's own defined look not something that looks like something else that has an already defined look. It looks like somone had a crx and just molded an rsx body and hybrid rear onto it. Nothing spectaclur, i've actually seen tail lights on a crx and it's kind of disgusting (the tail lights and head lights molded onto a crx). Before i left texas i knew a guy who was putting a crx with the rsx tail lights on it. Come on at least if you're going to revise the crx make it have it's own distinct look and not an already defined look.

I'd rather have the Insight CRX:

But seriously, the local dealer here said there may actually be a 2009 CRX model (not a chopped EP/Insight either).

Concept:

Where do you guys come up with some of this stuff? Gotta love the "I heard" she/he said you never get the correct information EVER. I guess some people thought the rdx turbo'd engine was going to be put into the 09 tsx but honda found it to be expensive and weight unproportional. I think the first link gives a bit more detail. The only thing the 2009 TSX is really getting is a bit of a redefined look and a little more midrange power with a bit more torque and higher compression ratio.

you can find more at acura.com.

as for the CR-Z (Compact Renaissance Zero) it's suppose to be a hybrid/petro "suppose"
