quick question about my tachometer

Default quick question about my tachometer

all right so i went on vacation and my car sat for about a week, well i start driving it again and i can be cruising at the same speed and my tach will jump kind of like my speedometer does under heavy acceleration....i know i need a VSS for my speedo but does that affect the tach as well? it didnt start doing this until i came back from vacation and started driving it again..any help is appreciated

What kind of bearing clearance does it have? Did you degree it in correctly? Is it tuned correctly? What headers?

good thinking...would the VSS have anything to do with it though?

A VSS won't usually freak out the tach.
