You can get it that low if you remove the suspension.

You sure it isn't the tiny tires, and lips and skirts making it look lower than it really is?

On my 00 GSR, I had no issues lowering down to flushed wheels on 16s. Now, the ride quality was absolute *****, as I was sitting on the bumpstops at ride height and had a grant total of 1/2" of shock shaft travel before bottoming out. But it can be done.

Are you going to get an alignment after every show? If not, enjoy going through tires like a madman. Toe needs to be aligned after every change in ride height.

If you want to slam it for a show, remove the springs entirely. Post show, put them back in. That should minimize the normal ride height change, and could let you maybe get away without need an alignment each time (notice could and maybe). If you adjust the coils for the show, you won't get them back to the same height each time, and will need the alignment. Keep an extra set of bumpstops around, and stuff an extra one on each shock shaft if removing the spring lays frame.

*edit: Do NOT drive the car without springs. Remove them at the show, then don't move the car until you put them back in.
