Had my viper 5002 install for a year now and suddenly my led blue light does not blink any longer. every thing works fine accept for the light doesnt go off. anyone might know the problem?

 

Could be a bad LED or check connection to main module. (red and blue wires thin gauge)

 

Wait... First you say that it doesn't blink, but then you sya that it won't go off.

Which is it?

 

meant to say that it doesnt blink at all when i activate my alarm now. sorry for the confusion. its not a bad connection or module, check all that..

 

what model alarm? does it still chirp if you lock it?

 

viper 5002, 2 way pager... and yes it chirps and locks and kill switch turns on and everything.. hit my window and it beeps me. only problem is the led light is not blinking.. kinda weird.. just drove one day and activate it and it just stop.

 

LED could be burned out. Try another LED.

 

could also be in valet mode but if the alarm part of it is still working then probably not. Its not a problem with the led because it would be off if that were messed up, sounds like you have a short in the led contacts in the brain of the alarm. Try a to put it in/out of valet, then if that doesnt work, swap the LED. If it still doesnt blink take it back to the dealer or send it back to DEI

 

The LED stays on while in valet mode..
