b16 dying coming to stop
I have exhausted all efforts I think. I have read every tech article on this site for iac valve, ficv which I dont have. I have a blox tps adjusted correctly. The only thing I have not done is check voltage on the map sensor. Ok so here is the deal. Car is somewhat hard to start. After its running I have to pedal it until it warms up some I assume due to the absence of the ficv. Once its warmed up its fine I have the idle set around 1k. When I come down from driving off the highway or just in town and coming to a stop she dies. Starts back up ok and idles fine. I can keep my foot on the pedal and it wont die but if I dont she quits. Like I said I have read a lot and checked a lot of things. I have removed the iac and cleaned it as well. I have a new map sensor on its way as well. My car is a 90 crx si. b16 swap obd0. ported polished head, crower valve springs, itr intake manifold stock throttle body. It has itr pistons as well. Other than the idle the car runs hard and strong. Thanks guys for any info or help.

you absolutely have an FITV valve if you have an OBD0 b16. Look on the back of the throttle body, it would be facing out towards the firewall.... a mirror is quite helpful.
I have had the intake off the car when I was building the motor. there is nothing on the t-body at all. one coolant line going to it and one out at the bottom of the t-body. has one connector for the tps and thats it. The IAC is on the back of the intake 2 coolant lines one connector. I know the ficv is a mechanical part so there would be no connections. I have replace the t-body with another and there is nothing on either of them. And yes all vac lines hooked up. I have the ones blocked off that are suppose to be plugged and others running to where they are suppose to off of a b16 build diagram. The car did the same thing before the motor was rebuilt as well. Thanks guys.

follow the line of the IACV... the next thing ins eries on the back of the IM is the FITV valve... when mine backed out i had the exact same symptoms... just my .02.

Ok sorry it took so long. Checked on the ficv mentioned about. One hose coming from coolant block going under t-body, then routed to iac out of the iac it tees into the water coolant tube on the back of the block. I do not see anything that resembles a ficv. I am going to check my voltages at my cts tomorrow at work. Thanks again.
