Fender Flare options for DC2
I know that J's racing has some front fender flares for our cars. Anything else on the market that doesn't carry the JDM price tag and/or require tons of massaging to make 'em fit? They'll be used on my DSP prepped 98 ITR that has 275/35/15's on the front axle.

Some pretty serious tires man....
As for fender flaring....your best bet is to get a fender roller (can rent a nice one off the internet for $200 deposit and $50 for use....the $200 gets returned to you once you send it back in good working order). It comes with the heat gun and everything you would need. Granted, I am not entirely sure you can roll the stock fenders out far enough to fit the 275's....

Not editing mine.
I haven't seen any other fender flares as well, I bet you can get a decent fiberglass guy to make up a set for you. Or get some J's, only 2 options I see for you.

'Tis what I feared. I was kinda hoping some of the more adventurous may have adapted something from a different car to work. I don't have the resources or time for that or I'd do it. Oh well, appreciate the bandwidth!

Fender roller huh...maybe if you roll it with a Sawz-all.
You're probably going to have to go custom Nate. I haven't seen anything that looks like it might be close.
I suppose you could always find a 4x4 catalog and look for fender flares for a small pickup and try to adapt those. You might be able to get something close that doesn't require too much bodywork.

lol. guess I had that coming!
Good idea Todd. I'll look through that jc whitney catalog I haven't thrown away yet and see if any of the truck flares look close. I suppose if I have to modify the hell out of them I'm no worse off then if I bought the j's flares. I'd just have more money in my pocket.
Fortunately, I know this will be a building year, so pretty isn't as important as fast at this point.

I have seen 3 seperate sets of the J's flares and they are all pretty suspect
and require quite a bit of massaging to look decent.
You would be fine using offroad flares.

yeah for a tire that wide youre going to need to go with something custom. besides j's there are chargespeed and ings+1 but neither widen by more than 20mm and carry the jdm price tag for sure
i found these but they do carry that JDM price tag......

never seen them in person though so i can't say if they flare very much...

Nate, you could try PMing user hybridmoments. He put flares on an EG that turned out pretty nice and were supposedly dirt cheap sourced from wherever. I think it required metal work, so if you're looking to rivet something on don't bother looking into it
any new updates on wide fenders, im looking to go 17x9.5 +15 with a 215/40/17 or a 225 but not wanting to have crazy negative camber, wanting to either do custom metal flares or some rivet ones
Thanks
Bret
Thanks

That's my PY ITR above.
The J's require riveting and if installed you can't remove the front end.
Note how the red car has a zip tie to allow removal of the front end
I had my J's bondo'd (cause rivets suck) and sectioned so I could remove the front end.
If the J's are too spendy -- you will have to get some old Integra fenders, some sheet metal and a blow torch
