Default Want to Extrude Hone my Performer X - Any Recomendations?

I was looking at an IB Spec (Blueprint MFG) ITR intake mani but maybe I'm better off porting my Performer X. Anyone know where I can get this done?

off the top of my head, and basing it off HT,
i see no reason why u cant, cut up the plenum, send it to combustion contraption for a little tlc, and have it shipped back to u, and reweld it..

or CC can have it welded etc too, he'll chime in and lookin forward to his comment on this

Very good ideal.

Even better, do the porting yourself.

well no, diY ? myt be a hit or miss.. id really rather have sum1 port it that does heads.. they myt have a better chance in improving the intake manifold hehe than diY,

but this is with opening up or cutting the plenum open.. without doing this, its just ur basic match porting etc..

No, you can get a machine shop to cut up the plenum and weld it back.

As far as sending it to CC, I have no problem with that or his work. However, if your going to just extrude hone. Then simply cutting it up and porting your self is just as good because you are not radius'ing.

Excellent point which I didn't think of. I believe radius'ing is an important part of the entire process

true true, personally though, id be more comfortable in letting sum1 do it, that ports heads, sumtimes the consistency of all the 4 runners are overlooked, when it comes to porting it etc..

but yeah u can do it urself.. doesnt mean ur sure it would be as good as the ones done by proper porters, dont get me wrong, doin it on ur own is a good thing u learn alot.. but seeing that places that do headworks or porting, usually do IM porting/opening up on the regular, im sure 80% of the people that send in their head, sends in their IM too, to compliment the work.. just an opinion that could help u decide on things bro

I realize that - the very reason I said:

Excellent point which I didn't think of.
