Just picked up the new Honda Tuning mag and seen an advertisement for the mishimoto carbon fiber intake for the eg. Kinda likes the way it's lookin but I was curious to see if anyone is running it or has heard any pro and cons of it. The msrp is $355. Just looks like something different to give a try if it's worth all that money (which they usually never are lol). TIA.

being different is the name of the game buddy. not everyone likes to rock the auto zone $20 filter with the dryer tubing c.a.i.

 

yea true the filter i rocked was not $20 dollars unfortunately. but i mean if you want a carbon fiber intake its your $355 dollars .. the HKS hi power filter is amazing. but hey go buy that thing and tell us if it was worth it yea??

Dont get me wrong, $355 is a lot for an intake to me as well, especially when i can custom fab one out of stainless and tig it myself. But I am kinda keen to the way this one looks and as you probably know looks arent everything, so I'm just simply asking for some feedback on it, if anyone has it. I dunno if anyone will due to the fact it's a fairly new product but hey, that's what forums are for, for learning information.

As far as your HKS filter goes, is this a full intake or just a filter with a "homemade" intake or what? Now we might be getting somewhere lol. I really don't mean to sound like a dick, but I just sometimes get irritated with trying to interpret peoples meanings behind their responses, and it's 3:15 in the morning here lol. But none the less would you please post the specs on you hks filter intake setup? thanks.

 

Most intakes are the same. Would I pay $355 for intake, probably not. Is the power gains from this intake more than say a $150 AEM intake or a $35 ebay intake, maybe. Is it worth the money? NO. In the end, your car, your money. If it looks good to you, then get it.
