So my car just recently starting doing this upon start up, sometimes it'll start right up with no issues and other times as I crank it everything just turns off...IE lights, cluster, radio as if it had reset itself. So to get around this issue ive been having to disconnect the battery cables from the battery and reconnect them. After I do this the car will start right up.

Things ive been noticing.
-Clock resets to 1:00, not sure if that’s normal?
-sometimes I hear a click noise when trying to start it and everything turns off.
-not the battery cause I got a new one.

Starter maybe? alternator maybe? ideas? Im starting to think its something else cause everything goes completely dead until i unplug the battery cables and plug it back.

 

I know this is an old thread, however; this is the exact problem I am having at the moment in my h22a ej8. Does anyone know what the solution to this problem is? Thanks in advance!
