Default BPI Flowstack users chime in.... couple of questions.

I am going to run the BPI flowstack on my b16, but have a couple of questions before I order it.

1) Are most of you guys running it with the optional filter? I am thinking of running it without since it will not be my sole means of transportation. Just wanted to see what the majority of you guys were doing.

2) What short ram are you guys using? I will make a custom intake tuned for length while dynoing it later, but need something to get me by for now (preferably cheap).

Thanks for the help.

Do not run without the filter it actually has no effect on power if you have filter on, I noticed 1hp +- and it was not conclusive, so based on this it is no brainer...

2 no clue AEM CAI here

Def. run with a k&n filter. If you want a really cheap intake just get an ebay one for now. You should be able to pick one up for between $15-25 shipped.

the flowstack was designed to be used with a specific filter on it. since that is the case it almost makes no difference at all if its on.

I am running the K&N filter listed on the BPi site.

I'm using some bullshit ebay 3" pipe intake

This weekend I'm actually tuning again. If theres time I'll do a filter vs without filter for fun.

ive actually flowed an intake on a flowbench without a filter and with and with the filter it flowed more cfm and had higher velocity. I was supprised to say the least.

I forget if it flowed more with the stack alone without a filter or not though.
