Clutch finally engages after release
Hi Everybody,
On a 2001 honda insight 5spd I press the clutch down to the floor, and shift, and it doesn't 'grab' until the clutch pedal is about an inch from being completely 'up'. What might this be? Air in system, bad slave, master, worn clutch, etc.?
I am posting this for another guy on InsightCentral.net.
Thanks in Advance!

did you try to re bleed the system?? if not flush all of the fluid out and re fill...
if that fails look towards a faulty slave they usually go before the master cylinder...or at least in my experiences...lol
good luck comrade

That would have been my first plan of attack, but I dont think the mechanic did that for this guy.
Thanks for the advice!
