clutch problem. maybe bad slave?
Alright so the other day i went ahead and replaced my CMC becasue i found it leaking and such. Bled the system to try and get all the air out of the lines and cmc, but for some reason my clutch still wasnt working right.
Basically there is that small freeplay spot, then when the clutch is supposed to start engaging, its a really soft spot, but not spongy. Then when it gets near the floor (like an inch or less of travel left) it hits a really hard spot where i would have to actually force the peddle down. But it almost feels like i shouldnt be pressing it any harder.
I thought maybe there was still air in the cmc itself, so i tried doin the whole bleeding process again, but no sign of improvement. Just a constant stream of clear brake fluid comes out.
Im using a Clutch Master Stage 3 clutch, and i know that isnt how the peddle is supposed to feel compared to when my old clutch system dealy was working a-ok.
Could it just be that my slave cyl went bad too?

where are you bleeding the system at? if you are only bleeding at the cmc then you might have air in the line from the cmc to the slave!! try bleeding at the slave.

no i was bleedin the whole system, so that shouldnt be the problem.
i went ahead and just took the slave off to check it out, and i noticed that shaft that goes into the tranny wiggles around, not just left and right.. that doesnt sound right?

when you put on the new or used cmc are you sure you got actuater rod/ pedal set up correctly? You can and are recommended to adjust it in the factory manual when changing out components.

the slave shaft is allowed to move like that. Just make sure that its straight when it goes back into the tranny. Its either ait in the system or the clylinders. If you feel for certain that your bled it right, then its kinda obvious its the other.
