Default Help, failed smog test only

well what can it be?

i have no mods, its bone stock 94 acura integra RS 210,xxx miles

uhm i don't know much about cars or how to work on cars ..

any advice is greatly appreciated

just start looking at the basics.

air filter
spark plugs&wires
02 sensor

etc.

change your cat and 02 sensor. that'll help alot.

Seriously. Used it in an 88 Civic that was failing worse than you. Passed with a safe margin after using it.

ISO Heet also works, if you can find it. It doesn't exactly freeze here in SoCal, so stores don't normally carry it.

Changing the oil in my 00 GSR dropped my measured HC from 65 PPM to 49 PPM, which just passed the 50 PPM limit for my year.

Also, you can ask for a "pre-test" which is a full test without submitting the results to the DMV. That way, if you fail it isn't recorded, and if you pass have them do the official test immediately afterwards.
