Default K question

I know this might seem as a dumb question, but. Does the K20z3 use different mounts than the K20a2? For a swap are the Hasport mounts the same for a k20z3 as a K20a/K20a2? Can I use an rsx subframe if i were swapping a z3, or would i need to use an si's subframe? Has anyone on honda-tech done a z3 swap?

i think you mean the a3(rsx base) and if so i think either subframe would suffice... as far as the mounts i think they're the same.. both 2.0L motors

no, he means K20Z3 = 2006+ Civic Si.

You might need to get the proper bracket from an RSX/EP3 but thats all. You will still use the same Swap mounts and RSX/EP3 Subframe.

He is correct, I meant the z3 from the 06-07 si.
Has anyone done this swap? if so what problems occured, any differences with the K20a swap?

I thought with the new hasports, you still needed a subframe? Im so confused, Im pretty sure Matt said that you still need the subframe from an ep3 or rsx...

With a K20Z3, you'll be looking at a custom harness without a doubt, and the wiring may even need customization afterwards due to the different VSS. The ECU will have to be from that car as well, and you won't be able to run K-Pro because Hondata doesn't support the '06-'07 Si yet. The entire swap would be extremely costly, and truly not worth it yet.

PS. There was no reason for a bump, as this thread was still on the first page.

Sorry about the bump, thanks for the info. I was curious because theres a K20z3 on the hondatech marketplace for 4000 with transmission, so i was considering purchasing it. Too bad, hopefully hasport and hondata will release stuff for the engine soon.
