Default VTEC noise

If I drive my R to VTEC range (around 7000rpm), then let off the gas COMPLETElY, I heard a werid electronic noise under the hood. The noise goes away right after the rev drop under 5700rpm (out of VTEC). Anyone else have this "problem" or is it normal?
thanks in advance

The noise is like continuous "gi......" sound, definitely not a single "click" noise.
I will try to record it and post it up.

The werid thing is if I let the engine free rev in neutral, that "gi..." sound won't present at all. But it is very noticeable when I am driving in gear dropping out in VTEC. Everything is fine if not in VTEC or if I drop out VTEC by upshifting. I start to wonder will the noise only present when the rev is dropping slowly (not much sense but...).

I might try to lift the throttle partially instead of fully to drop out from VTEC and see what happen.
