I am lookin to put on some mods to my other wise stock performing LS. What would be the best air intake to put on? Also there are so many different exhaust systems out there which one would be the best for everyday driving? An should i buy headers aswell?

 

It's header, not headers....You have a 4 cylinder not a V6. And if you want to do that sure go ahead, get some Integra Type R headers, a nice exhaust and a cold air intake. Then chip and Tune ur teg. It'll b a little quicker not alot. What i DO suggest though, if you want to keep the LS, is to buy a LS block, get some ARP rods and ARP rod bolts put in. Throw it back into your car, and turbo it to 9k. It's the cheapest way to seeing alot of HP out of a LS.

This is a pretty basic question that you could have found answers to by searching... but I'm feeling generous.

For the most part.. an air intake is an air intake. It's pretty hard to screw up a tube with a filter on it.

Everyone and their mother is going to tell you to get the RSR Ex Mag exhaust. That's because it's baller.

And finally.. the header. You can do a cheapo bolt on or you can spend mega bucks on a gangsta custom one. I'd recommend you figure out what direction you want to go with the car first. If you're the kind of person who just wants to be able to say you have an intake, header, exhaust.. just go buy a Megan racing or JVTR header and call it a day.

instead of worrying about how fast you can make your car go. I would recommend that you see how fast you can get your car to stop and handle. Sure its neat to beat someone off the line. but your not really going to be doing alot of that in an ls with a header and a fart can.

it would depend on your budget. i would say get some nice tires and invest in koni yellows and ground controls. but if you have baller money, get some nice coil overs and even better tires, maybe some sway bars.

take advantage of the power you have before you go and make a goof ball with the extra 10hp you have and understeer into a curb.
