Default Can this be a Reason why swap wont start again?

Ok so i just swapped A Z6 into my 92 CX hatch the motor didnt have any oil in it when i swapped it in...i only put 1qrt of 5W-30 Penzoil Synth then went to start it up..after a few tries it started up BUT i cut it RIGHT BACK OFF cuz it was only 1qrt of oil and the motor didnt have a header and i didnt wanna do any damage to internals...i started it twice and these were QUICK OFF and ON start ups...NOW the motor wont even start...so im scared if i damaged anything...OR could it just be that the motor doesnt have enough oil to start? (This is my first swap so bare with me)

Why would you even run the motor that low on oil? You should have filled with fluids before you tried to start with swap...its common sense

So it was started twice and now it won't start at all. Does it crank? When you turn the key to AccII(on) do you hear the fuel pump prime? Start with what you know, instead of asking for theories. I don't think you messed anything up internally and I hope it's an easy fix.

Yea i hear the fuel pump prime and i hear the starter try and start the motor but it wont turn over. It started before but now it wont turn over so my guess is it might need more oil...the motor also has 180K on it and i replaced Oil Filter And Distributor and has new NGKspark Plug wires...maybe i should get new spark plugs as well. but there is only 1 qrt of oil in the motor so i have a feeling it needs more oil to start since thats wat i did last time it didnt start last time with no oil...i added 1qrt to see if the motor wasnt frozen and it started twice.

1st thing, why would u start the car without a header on? second, ur risking ur car with 1 quart of oil. common sense!! no idea what's wrong, since it did started and now it just died. you should add oil though just to see if it works.

Did you replace the dizzy before or after you tried starting the car? Could you have did it after you tried starting it and installed the plug wires in the wrong order?

i replaced the dizzy and wires before starting the car..im just gonna wait until i add more oil in the car. as far as starting the car with low oil and no header...curiosity got the best of me and i was eager to start the car...i had 1qrt of oil and i figured it would be better to start it with some oil then NO oil...i just hope curiosity didnt kill the cat.

get a breaker bar and socket to fit the crank and turn the motor over manually to see if you can turn it that will tell you whether you locked it up or not.

how about you go get 3 or 4 more quarts of oil and try to start it? i mean oil cost about 2 dollars a quart or so...dont be so cheap! just buy the oil and try to go from there. good luck.

OK i just fixed the problem it wasnt cuz the motor was messed up.. it was my starter that was messed up...the bolts that hold the tab from the harness to the starter came loose somehow or i just didnt tighten it ...i took the entire starter off and fixed the stud that the bolt went on..plugged everything back up and went to turn it on BUT i didnt turn it on i turned the key just enough to where the motor was getting ready to turn and you can hear it getting ready to turn on but i stopped it from turning on!! ITS FIXED NOW! THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP I REALLY APPRECIATE IT!
